About Open Rehearsals

Open Rehearsals invites students age 12 to 112 to encounter music in a concert hall setting. Students see and hear the Fresno Philharmonic in action by attending a working rehearsal for our Masterwork concerts. They will witness the hard work that goes into coordinating the sounds of different musicians and their instruments while getting an up-close glimpse of a professional orchestra and the exciting world of orchestral music.

Teachers that sign their students up for a free Open Rehearsal are asked to elave feedback on our blog after the event and attend an Arts Access Workshop. At this workshop, teachers will be given materials that will allow them to integrate the rehearsals' musical concepts into their existing curriculum in ways that align with prescribed national and state education standards in music.

If you’d like to book your classroom, please contact Lisa Stallings, Director of Operations & Education at lstallings@fresnophil.org.
