Our Youth Concerts, aptly titled ‘Symphonic Adventures’, bring the full experience of the Fresno Philharmonic to thousands of students in our Central Valley. At these annual one-hour concerts in the Saroyan Theatre, the Fresno Philharmonic, in conjunction with Classical Kids LIVE!, creates dramatic choreography, imaginative acting and extraordinary music. Classical Kids Live performances are especially for schoolchildren, grades K – 8. These stories about the great composers are educational, exciting, and fun. Financial assistance is available!
A student’s participation in the performing arts engages them in meaningful learning and academic achievement, encourages creativity and critical thinking and raises standardized test scores.
Teachers that sign their students up for these concerts are asked to leave feedback on our blog after the event and attend an Arts Access Workshop. At the workshop, the teachers will be given materials that will allow them to integrate the concerts musical concepts into their existing curriculum in ways that align with prescribed national and state educations standards in music.
